Families of the Incarcerated Are in a Different Kind of Prison
Main Thing First Ministries shines a spotlight on the plight of the families of people held in incarceration. They are in a different kind of jail. There may not be bars on the doors or guards telling you every move to make. But, they are locked up too. They are in dark places.
The families of the incarcerated need help. They need emotional support during long periods without their loved ones. They need financial assistance when the main income earner is behind bars. They need help raising children when one of the parents is gone. Who can they turn to?
We are committed to being there - offering encouragement, counseling, and assistance to as many families of the incarcerated as possible.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
At EIE, we have a 3 PRONG STRATEGY to make the Internet safer for children and families. This Strategy is a shared responsibility between the public, corporate America, and Government.
WE CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU
It takes people who care about families and children to make this ministry successful. Main Thing First is looking for people who have a heart for the hurting, especially for the strengthening of families who face extreme situations caused by the incarceration of a loved one.
Are YOU that kind of person? We would love to meet you. Please CONTACT US so we can get together and match your talents and passions with the desperate needs in our community!
TESTIMONY FROM A FAMILY WE WORK WITH
"Main Thing First Ministries was a God send when my husband was incarcerated.
He left me and our children to fend for ourselves, with nothing. I had no job, a mortgage, bills, bugs and mice from a former tenant, a house that needed work, and no vehicle.
Main Thing First Ministries, reached out to me, and began with the "main things first" I was invited to church, I was connected with an employer in need of an employee, connected me with an exterminator.
I am so thankful for the help, and for having someone to walk through and encourage me and my kids, even my husband through such a difficult time for our family.
Before my husband returned home, Main Thing First Ministries gave my husband names and connected him with possible employers. When he returned, Main Thing First Ministries helped to welcome my husband home, and encouraged a safe reunification of our family!
I'm not sure where we would be with you, Main Thing First Ministries,
